Storyboard Animatic

Published by Alex Farnell under , , , on 14:48

This is the animatic of our storyboard. Personally, i think that the timings will work well, although we may add a few extra shots into it, this is good becuase some of the running shots could be cut down.

Alex and Reece.

The montage sequence works well in this anamatic and I think could be a really effective motif in your work, especially the way it repeats and builds as the sequence progresses. In terms of AS work, this is really imaginative and original.

What follows is designed to push this anamatic from level 2 into 4.

Try altering the pace of the montage as the sequence progresses, perhaps the montage could get faster and faster?

In terms of your animatic, it might benefit from some greater description in terms of movement of actors etc. The camera seems somewhat static currently, will there be a pan during the chase sequence. Also consider including some match on action (there is an opportunity during the gate sequence) and some more close ups.

Some description of settings would help, is scene two on a pier or street? Is the actor male or female? (I assume male due to the term actor but it's not clear) Black or white? Young or old? Are they standing still or walking?

Who are the three characters? Again are they static or moving? Is this the same time of day as shot 2? Are we supposed to infer that they are following.

Finally add the 'follow' application to your blog, otherwise it's difficult to track what you're up to.

Well done.
